Green Papayas' classic and contemporary Vietnamese dishes are designed for sharing the pleasure of tasting several flavours.

The Green Papaya was started twelve years ago by chef Lein Yeoman in a small restaurant on Milton road, as the restaurant grew it relocated to its current location in East Brisbane. Over the past 8 years, it has continued to grow, both in reputation and quality. At the start of 2007, the restaurant was purchased by entertainer and food lover Manjit Boparai. Seeing how successful the restaurant was he opted to keep long serving head chef, Thang Nguyen, who has helped shape the food over the last 8 years.

Under the leadership of Chef Thang Nguyen and protege Felix Tickner, it has grown into one of Brisbane's finest Asian restaurants. Our food represents the fusion of modern technique with traditional Northern Vietnamese cookery. A strong focus on fresh produce, organic and free range meats as well as ocean caught seafood help maintain the light, healthy style traditional in northern Vietnam.

As is traditional in Vietnaam, our food is designed to be shared by the whole table, allowing every one to enjoy the many flavours of our food. Our chef's continue to refine and enhance the flavours of our food. Focusing always on freshness and quality.

Our menu and front of house have been given a new, contemporary flair with cocktails and service reflecting the flavours and quality of the food. Our wait staff will do everything in their power to help you enjoy your night with us.
